KickOff.com has heard that Jean-Marc Makusu, a Congolese, could be headed to Tanzania in the new season after fighting to influence Orlando Pirates in his debut season.

Young Africans have long been Makusu devotees but were previously deterred by its expensive demands and Simba has now shown interest.

“Makusu’s problem was always his demands. When he returned from Egypt, what he asked was a bit too much for teams in Tanzania, “KickOff.com reveals a source.

“He could now however lessen his demands, because he has to play soccer again, which did not occur during his time at Pirates. Tanzania’s major two value him, therefore it’s only a matter of money deals.”

Makusu scored Pirates once a week and didn’t play a game when he got a loan from the newly crowned Congolese champions AS Vita Club.

Makusu has previously performed in Belgium, Hungary, Algeria, Egypt and Congo DR.

He has stood in the queue for game time behind Gabadinho Mhango and Tshegofatso Mabasa at Pirates.

His last outing came in February in a Nedbank Cup versus Maritzburg United, scored for the pirates in the second round of the CAF Confederation Cup against Jwaneng Galaxy from Botswana.
