The Midfeldman Ben Motshwari was suspended by the Soweto giants after he was indicted by the police on the Monday by Orlando Pirates.
The Buccaneers confirmed that, pending the investigation, the midscale will be permanently halted.
“This morning Orlando Pirates is able to report that the midfielder Ben Mothswari has been suspended, after charges by the police,” said a statement from the club.
“When an investigation goes on, the former Bidvest wits midfielder is still suspended.
“The situation is subject to a legal process and the team cannot comment on it until this is concluded.”
After being introduced on Saturday in the 81stminute, the 30 year-old took the place in the Orlando Pirates’ 3-1 triumph over Chippa United.
This come as a surprise to many Orlando Pirates Football Club supporters as the player was featured in the squad that took on the Eastern cape based side Chippa United on Stay afternoon. He was used as a substitute.
