Parents in KwaZulu Natal say they’re concerned about the well-being and education of their children. This after another bout of heavy rains and flooding led to further infrastructure damage. Some schools have had to close as a result.
One parent said, “I’m exceptionally concerned, obviously education is one of my primary concerns and is key to success in any career or livelihood and what we’re seeing are continuous disruption from natural and unnatural causes and it’s affecting the children adversely because to get them at home to catch up at home is very difficult especially with working parents and what do parents do if schools are closed and parents are working?
