Orlando Pirates are reportedly courting one of Mohamed Nasreddine Nabi’s man, Helmi Gueldich, as they look to beef up their technical team ahead of the 2023/24 season.
Gueldich has served under Nabi at Young Africans as fitness and conditioning coach. Together, they have guided the Tanzanian giants to two successive trebles.
NABI LINKED WITH CHIEFS
Nabi has caught the interest of Kaizer Chiefs, and the Tunisian has requested to bring Gueldich should he take up the job.
However, FARPost has since learnt that Pirates have approached the revered conditioning coach.
This comes at a time Pirates are looking to replace Senior Rehabilitation Specialist Stephen Plummer.
Plummer, who is returning to the Blue Bulls, left the Buccaneers recently on mutual consent after eight years in the role.
Gueldich commands a lot of respect from Yanga players for his work with the team.
A holder of a PhD in exercise science, Gueldich also played football as a fullback, but had his career cut short by an injury.
