Kaizer Chiefs confirm Edson Castillo’s jersey number!

Kaizer Chiefs have officially confirmed the arrival of Venezuela international midfielder Edson Castillo.

Castillo joined the Glamour Boys on a two-year-deal with an option to extend from Venezuelan side Monagas.

The Amakhosi confirmed their latest blockbuster midfielder’s new jersey number!

Kaizer Chiefs confirm Edson Castillo’s jersey number

Edson Castillo will don the number 17 jersey at Naturena. Recently departed midfielder Cole Alexander wore the ’17’ for the previous two campaigns.

In other news, legendary former Kaizer Chiefs striker Pollen Ndlanya believes all PSL teams should have a striker/attacking coach.

This comes after the league failed to record a single top goal scorer with the award being shared by Peter Shalulile and Khanyisa Mayo.

The winning duo finished the season on a meager 12 goals each and that’s concerning according to Ndlanya.

“It’s something our so-called big bosses must look up to. They much check what is the problem. For me I don’t think they are worried what is the problem. I feel sorry for the supporters.

“Now the defenders are so relaxed, they are in a picnic, they know that, ‘Ah, there’s no danger there’. It’s a problem.”
