Cape Town Spurs have extended the contract of Shaun Bartlett, the club confirmed on Monday evening.
Bartlett joined Spurs in October 2021 when they were fighting relegation and managed to completely turn the tide around.
Despite missing out on direct promotion to the DStv Premiership after being overtaken by Polokwane City on the final day of the Motsepe Foundation Championship, Spurs managed to return to the top flight via the PSL Promotional Play-offs at the expense of Maritzburg United.
Bartlett secured his second promotion after doing the same with Golden Arrows in 2014/15. Back then, Arrows opted to replace him, while Spurs have stuck to their man and rewarded him with a two-year deal.
“Cape Town Spurs are pleased to announce that Shaun Bartlett has extended his contract for a further two years. We wish Shaun all the best for the new season,” the club stated.
