Motorists will pay R1.32 less for litre of petrol at the pumps

The price of petrol will increase by 81 cents on Wednesday

The Department of Mineral and Energy Resources has announced a significant decrease in fuel prices.

Both grades of petrol will decrease by R1,32 cents per litre this month

Diesel is set to decrease by between 88 and 91 cents per litre, while illuminating paraffin will cost R1,44 less per litre.

Department spokesperson Robert Maake says the new fuel prices will kick in at midnight on Tuesday 2 August.
