Mnisi Clarifies Pirates Speculation – iDiski Times

New Marumo Gallants Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Sinky Mnisi has opened up about the speculation linking him to Orlando Pirates before his latest venture.

Mnisi, who had an ugly spat with Royal AM before he agreed a settlement to leave the club last season, was appointed by Gallants two weeks ago.

His mandate was clear to help them back to the DStv Premiership, but there were murmurs of a potential move to Pirates after the exit of long-serving administrator Floyd Mbele.

“The Chairman of Gallants eluded, people will write stories and until things are officially announced like now [at Gallants], people must just take that as stories,” he told iDiski Times.

“Nobody knew that I would be here, and it’s been going on [talks] for a long time. It’s just nowadays in media people like to get their scoops in a wrongful way.

“But you see the real team [I’m] joining is this one. But yes, I did speak to a couple of teams but it didn’t mean I belonged to that team or signed with them. With Marumo I’ve signed a contract and I’m happy where I am.”

Gallats started their 2023/24 season in the Motsepe Foundation Championship with a 2-2 draw against last season’s promotion playoff participants Casric Stars this past weekend.
