Exciting midfielder Ntsako Makhubela has received an enticing offer from the DStv Premiership side after parting ways with Orlando Pirates.

The 29-year-old was recently released by the Soweto giants along with Craig Martin, Nkanyiso Zungu, Kopano Thuntsane, and Ndumiso Mabena.

Makhubela spent the last second round of the last season on loan at Lamontville Golden Arrows. He regained his form and started playing regularly after he had gone through a rough patch at Pirates.

The former Real Kings star signed for the Buccaneers in 2021 but struggled somewhat to live up to expectations. A lot was expected of the midfielder after he excelled at Arrows during the 2019/20 and 2020/21 seasons.

FARPost has learnt that Arrows have tabled a tempting offer for the Johannesburg-born to remain in Durban following his permanent departure from the Sea Robbers. He received the offer at the beginning of this week and is understood to be close to signing on the dotted line.

The club seems to be happy with Makhubela’s showings during his loan spell last season.

Moreover, as previously reported by FARPost, Arrows have already completed two acquisitions as they’re preparing for the upcoming season.

ARROWS MAKING MOVES IN THE MARKET

They have snatched Angelo Van Rooi and Olwethu Ncube from Hungry Lions from the Motsepe Foundation Championship outfit. The duo caught the eyes of the top-flight clubs after an impressive 2022/23 season in the second-tier.

Sekhukhune United and Cape Town City were also in the race for Van Rooi but eventually lost to the Durban-based club. Van Rooi and Ncube both penned three-year deals with options to extend with Abafana Bes’thende.

The exit of the attacking midfielder Pule Mmodi is another major reason the club is putting massive effort into the reinforcement.

The 30-year-old, Mmodi signed a three-year deal with the club of his dreams Kaizer Chiefs. And he was unveiled along with Thathayoane Ditlhokwe, Given Msimango, Mduduzi Mdantsane, Edson Castillo and Ranga Chivaviro earlier this week.
