Former Kaizer Chiefs winger Junior Khanye has shared a five-name list of players Amakhosi should target this month.

The Glamour Boys ended the first half of the campaign with three wins and a draw, climbing into sixth place under care-taker coach Cavin Johnson.

However, Khanye believes his former club could still do better and should dive into the January market to improve the team further after they already signed 10 players this campaign.

Khanye, though, believes Chiefs should look at players like Deano Van Rooyen and Khanyisa Mayo to add more quality to the team.

“Defensively I think Kaizer Chiefs should sign Stellenbosch captain Deano Van Rooyen. He is the only other right-back who can compete with Khuliso Mudau at Bafana Bafana,” Khanye said on iDiskiTV.

“I don’t understand why he is not in the squad instead of Nyiko Mobbie. Chiefs need a player like Van Rooyen. He is very quick, very good at recovering when not in possession, and he has proven himself as a trophy winner.

“Khanyisa Mayo would be another good fit for Chiefs. His father played for the club. He is very good technically. He still needs to improve but he has proven himself to be a good goal scoring forward.

“Other players for me would be Qobolwakhe Sibande, a left-back at Stellenbosch. Brice Ambina, defensive midfielder at Cape Town City and Keanu Cupido, the centre-back at Cape Town City.”

Kaizer Chiefs Football Club have a high possibility of getting players from Stellenbosch Football Club because both clubs have a good relationship In terms of player signings, and Kaizer Chiefs Football Club supporters believe that they can get players from Stellenbosch Football Club.
