Former Kaizer Chiefs star to earn R6m after joining Al-Ahly SC

Former Kaizer Chiefs striker, Bonfils Caleb Bimenyimana, is set to pocket around R6 million after joining Libyan giants Al-Ahly SC Benghazi. After parting ways with Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs, Bimenyimana has found his new home.

Making Headlines in the Transfer Window

Undoubtedly, Bimenyimana has been making all sorts of headlines during the transfer window. From a failed move by Wydad Athletic Club to parting ways through mutual consent with Amakhosi, his journey has been eventful. Now, he is the latest star to join Al-Ahly SC Benghazi on a two-year deal that was sealed in Tunisia by CEO Fathi Al Jali. Reports indicate that Bimenyimana was also registered in time for the Libyan Premier League.

The Deal and Earnings

The deal will see Bimenyimana pocketing around R6 million. The structure of the deal is unknown, but his package could reach R6 million. However, his appearance in CAF might take some time since he has yet to be registered by the club.

Performance at Kaizer Chiefs and Al Ahly Benghazi’s Recent Success

Bimenyimana made 21 appearances for Kaizer Chiefs, starting 17 and coming from the bench four times. He managed to net eight goals during his stint in the DStv Premier League. In other news, Al Ahly Benghazi recently knocked out Enyimba out of CAF.

The news of his move has sparked a debate about whether Bimenyimana is worth that much or if he has a good agent who knows how to negotiate. Social media was flooded with comments after the news of his transfer was confirmed.
