BOKOMO REACHES OUT TO LUNGISANI MJAJI

The popular brand Bokomo reached out to commercial photographer Lungisani Mjaji, who shot viral images of the three-year-old girl, Lethukukhanya Mjaji aka ‘Miss Albany’.

This is after Lungisani shared photos of his niece holding a box of Bokomo Corn Flakes on his social media accounts.

The commercial photographer and Tshwane University of Technology student shared an email from Bokomo which read:

“We represent Bokomo brand and recently noticed the beautiful images you took of your niece with the Bokomo Corn Flakes box. The team would like to share a year supply of Corn Flakes product for her and her family to enjoy.”

Lungisani also revealed to The South African this week that Albany reached out to the family and paid them a visit after his niece’s pictures went viral on social media.

He added that branch managers brought a gas stove for his grandmother, blankets, lunch boxes and hampers for his niece and other children in the area who often help him with his photography.

SOUTH AFRICANS REACT TO ‘MISS ALBANY’ VIRAL PHOTOS

@Nkonka_20: “We want her on billboards and on TV adverts.”

@lynneth25: “I hope it comes with milk and a educational sponsorship or something tangible.”

@ButteredBlue: “We want shares. We want an education fund. We want a renewable advertising contract. Bread and cornflakes for a year? A speaker and a blanket? Surely #Albany can do a little better than that?”

@kennedy_trail: ‘They should state for how long … they will be providing. However, its best for scholarship.”
