Kaizer Chiefs head coach Arthur Zwane has pointed out what his charges can learn from Reeve Frosler who recently returned from injury.

Frosler has been out since January when he suffered a jaw fracture in the DStv Premiership match against Royal AM.

This past Sunday, he played 105 minutes in his return against Thwihli Thwahla in the Nedbank Cup quarter-final.

Zwane lauded the 25-year-old for the professionalism he showed while treating his injury. He says Frosler is a good example to his teammates of how to remain a pro even when injured.

“It goes back to what I said if you remember what I said about the competition that we are creating within the squad,” said Zwane.

“Reeve has been out for quite some time and he came back and played more than 90 minutes or about 110 minutes I think.

“He gave his best and it tells you about his attitude and just in the morning today [last Sunday], I just gave him a boost in front of everyone because of the professionalism he showed when he was injured.

“Not even one of our medical team complained about him missing time or coming late or not attending to those things he was supposed to do in terms of recovery and rehabilitation.

“So, he’s one boy that the game will reward him because he’s disciplined and he’s dedicated. He loves the game and there’s a lot of passion.

“So, I just want to make him an example so that others can learn from him as well. Even when you are injured, you can still remain a pro.

“You are a pro, in and out, on and off the field, so I’m proud of him. That is why the performance also today was like that because he conducts himself very well.

“He’s a professional player and I love him.”
