Zungu Reveals Main Reason For Downs Return

Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Bongani Zungu finally revealed his main reason for re-joining Downs.

Before re-joining Sundowns, the 30-year-old was linked with several top DStv Premiership sides but now he has revealed the reason behind joining Downs. Ben10 mentions that clubs performance made it easy for him to choose.

“Before re-signing with Sundowns, I thought about what I wanted to achieve, and the CAF Champions League is something that influenced my decision,” Zungu told Sundowns Magazine.

“The fact that Sundowns is amongst the best football clubs in Africa competing to win the trophy gives me hope that I will achieve my goal.”

The former Rangers FC midfielder then also revealed that coach Rulani Mokwena actually visited him in France. He also explained the role Manqoba Mngqithi plays in his football.

“Coach Rulani came to visit me overseas and he had a chat with one of the coaches at Amiens to see how we were training, he has really helped me grow on and off the field. He added
