With their grandfather’s succession to the throne, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s kids were named Prince Archie and Princess Lillibet. But, according to The Sun, they will unfortunately never het HRH status. Here’s why.

REASON WHY PRINCE ARCHIE AND PRINCESS LILIBET WILL NOT GET HRH STATUS
Not all princes and princesses are addressed as HRH (His or Her Royal Highness). And in the case of Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, they are, according to MailOnline, not expected to get his specific status.
The reason?
When their parents, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, stepped down from their royal duties in 2020, they stopped using their HRH titles.
At the time, Buckingham Palace released a statement saying the couple would no longer formally represent the Queen. And although they will continue to uphold the values of Her Majesty, they will “not use their HRH titles as they are no longer working members of the Royal Family.”
As non-working members of the royal family, Prince Archie, and Princess Lilibet will reportedly also not get the status.

On Sunday, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle celebrated Princess Lilibet’s second birthday. But while the Sussex family rejoiced, the rest of the royal family seemingly didn’t publicly mention the youngest princess’s special day.
In an interview with MailOnline, royal commentator Phoebe Tatham commented on the somewhat strange snub from the royal family.
“In recent years and certainly since King Charles II reign began in September 2022, we have only seen public messages from the royal family’s social media accounts for working members of the royal family, such as the Prince and Princess of Wales and their children, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh and the Princess Royal,” Tatham explained.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped back as working members of the royal family in 2020. And they aren’t the only members of the royal family who do not get birthday messages. According to Tatham, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie nor their children will typically get mentioned on their special days.
“They [King Charles III and Queen Camilla], of course, wish Lilibet a very happy birthday, but nothing will be put out on any channels,” a source told OK!
When the princess celebrated her first birthday, the late Queen Elizabeth shared a sweet birthday message on the royal social media account.
