WATCH: University of Limpopo student destroy infrastructure during violent protest
University of Limpopo students in Turfloop outside Polokwane burned down university’s infrastructures and block roads during a protest over unpaid off-campus allowances on Wednesday, 14 September 2022.
Students at the University of Limpopo say they are concerned that they will end up homeless because landlords are tired of hearing excuses that the university has not paid them the residential allowances.
They say they have been patient for too long and they depressed and drowning in debts.
One of a student says the management have failed them and it is sad.
