Given Msimango and Mduduzi Mdantsane have already signed for the club but will likely be unveiled at the end of the season.
WINDING DOWN CONTRACTS
Msimango and Mdantsane are winding down their contracts with TS Galaxy and Cape Town City respectively.
Chiefs don’t only have incoming transfers; they also have a list of players set to leave the club at the end of the season.
Their contracts end in June, and they will be free to join clubs of their choice. Eric Mathoho, Sifiso Hlanti, Itumeleng Khune, Phathutshedzo Nange, Khama Billiat and Kgaogelo Sekgota are out of contract in June.
However, Nange has caught the eye of two of his former coaches.
Nange joined Chiefs from Stellenbosch FC in July 2021 on a free transfer after just a season in the Winelands. He had moved to Stellies after an impressive stint with Bidvest Wits.
KAIZER CHIEFS MIDFIELDER A TARGET
In Cape Town, he established himself as a regular, making 24 appearances for Stellenbosch before being lured by Chiefs.
At Amakhosi, he reunited with his former Bidvest Wits coach Gavin Hunt and had a fair season.
Unsurprisingly, his best season in Amakhosi colours came under Hunt in the 2021/22 season when he made 24 appearances. He weighed in with two goals for that particular term.
He has only managed a further seven appearances since the departure of Hunt from the club.
According to sources, SuperSport United and Stellenbosch FC are keen on his services.
“His work rate is held in high regard by the two coaches. It’s understandable because of what he did for both of them.
“Gavin wants him at SuperSport United, while Steve Barker is also interested in him. It’ll all come down to who gives him the better offer,” the source concluded.
