Two people killed at a tavern in Garankuwa

Two people were shot and killed and seven others were wounded when gunmen fired shots randomly at patrons sitting outside a tavern in Garankuwa.

The incident happened on Friday night at around  23:00.

Gauteng Police spokesperson Colonel Sello Dimakatso said the gunmen were driving a silver VW Polo and the motive of the shooting was unknown at this stage.

Police will be investigating two cases of murder and seven of attempted murder.
