DINEO RANAKA DISCHARGED FROM MENTAL FACILITY

Sunday World reports that Dineo Ranaka is back home recovering after she allegedly discharged herself from hospital on Friday 2 June. The publication reports that the media personality discharged herself after having a confrontation with a health worker.

“Someone was on the phone so Dineo thought that person was taking a picture and she confronted him. Then the boy said to Dineo shut up and then they had a confrontation which ended up in him saying she must not take out her frustrations on him,” said a source to the publication.

This comes after Zimoja reported that Dineo was admitted into a mental health facility in Pretoria after she had suicidal thoughts last week.

“She appreciated all the messages she has received from everyone. She hasn’t been able to respond to everyone, but she is fighting. She will be okay. Dineo is a fighter, everybody knows that,” she said according to the publication.

She did not reveal what exactly is going on, but she said that her mind has been loud lately.

“Because I’m trying my best to NOT commit suicide. My mind is sooo loud of late and life is f****** hard so f****** hard and I’m trying my best but it seems my best is not enough,” she continued.

“My children God,” she added.

TWEEPS WEIGH IN

Following reports that the media personality had been discharged she began trending on Twitter. Some thought it was “attention seeking” and felt she “mistreated” people after the viral video of her calling out her ex-boyfriend last year. However, others jumped to her defense reflecting on how people with mental health issues are treated. Take a look…

“What’s happening to Dineo is indicative of how we treat people with mental illness. People are much safer before they open up, because when they do, the gossip, jokes and inhumane treatment often makes one regret opening up,” wrote @jaybadza47.

“What is happening to Dineo Ranaka is not attention seeking,it’s what really happens in our Era,and many give up the fight by committing suicide,I really wish we can stop insulting her and continue to Pray for her,Family, children her past flaws don’t matter she Needs support, love,” wrote @joy_zelda.
