Terry Pheto in another shocking Lottery scandal. The Tsotsi actress allegedly received R1 million from the R10 million meant for the youth awards ceremony. Now Terry has been implicated in yet another lottery scandal. Pheto and former National Lottery COO Phillemon Letwaba, his wife, and others allegedly paid money for youth development in their business accounts.
Mainstream publications reported that the actress allegedly spent the money on her lavish lifestyle of appearing as a successful international actress. Pheto is now a trending topic on all social media platforms because of the fraud allegations, with recent reports that proved beyond doubt that she’s guilty.
Terry Pheto and other well-known local celebrities were fingered in the National Lotteries Commission (NLC) fraud. Kwaito legend Arthur Mafokate, TV personality Carol Bouwer and Tsotsi star Presley Chweneyagae were fingered as some of the people who benefitted illegally from the NLC.

Actress Pheto, who starred in the Oscar–winning feature film Tsotsi, is among nine people investigated by the Special Investigating Unit (SIU) for a potential multimillion-rand fraud scheme. The others include two lawyers, an accountant, a hotel group CEO and a former commissioner of the NLC. It is alleged that the nine people acquired properties through money fraudulently gained from the NLC.
On Saturday, Pheto denied involvement in the scheme through a statement on Twitter.
I am dismayed to discover that I am the subject of a SIU probe into allegations relating to funding by the NLC. I deny any involvement into the alleged scheme that has been reported on. I also had no prior knowledge of an application to obtain a preservation order against me and have had no sight of this order.
