The top three remained unchanged after close wins as the second half of the 2023 Hollywoodbets Super League commenced this past weekend.
Kholosa Biyana was on target again as University of Western Cape (UWC) narrowly defeated Coal City Wizards 1-0 at home, to help the Blues stay on top of the top with 47 points in 16 matches. The Mpumalanga-based outfit remained second from bottom with seven points from the same number games.
Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies were 3-1 winners over Richmond United in De Aar, as they kept pressure on UWC. Melinda Kgadiete, Chuene Morifi and Refilwe Tholakele scored as the defending champions stayed in second position a point behind UWC while United remained in seventh place with 26 points all from 16 outings.
Elsewhere Nicole Michael’s sole goal against City Lads was enough to keep TS Galaxy Queens in third place on the log with 37 points. The Lads remained in 13th position with 11 points from the same number of games.
