Title Race Between Plk City, CT Spurs & Casric Heating Up

Polokwane City went top of the table after all sixteen Motsepe Foundation Championship teams were in action on Wednesday afternoon, with Cape Town Spurs moving into second spot.
At Thohoyandou Stadium it ended 1-1 between Venda Football Academy and Casric Stars, as Casric dropped from first to third place.
Magesi meanwhile found Polokwane City too strong, as Rise and Shine returned to the top of the log with a 2-0 win at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium.
Cape Town Spurs made it 13 games without defeat in all competitions as they picked up a good 3-2 win against Baroka at the Baroka Village in Lebowakgomo, with Baroka missing a late penalty. Spurs are now second, with only a one-goal difference separating them and the leaders.
At the Dr Molemela Stadium, newly-relocated Tshakhuma fell to a 2-1 defeat to Uthongathi.
At the Bidvest Stadium, La Masia and AmaTuks couldn’t be separated, as they played to a 1-1 draw.
Pretoria Callies’ good run of results continued as they came from a goal down to beat Black Leopards 2-1 at the Lucas Masterpieces Moripe Stadium.
Platinum City Rovers grabbed a late equaliser as they drew 1-1 JDR Stars at Olen Park
Meanwhile, in Kimberley, it ended with the same 1-1 scoreline between Hungry Lions and All Stars.
