Mamelodi Sundowns and Moroka Swallows have announced their starting line-ups for this afternoon’s MTN8 quarter-final clash at Lucas Moripe Stadium.
After a perfect start in the league the focus has to shift to the cup game for Masandawana as they aim to progress to the next round.
Downs got eliminated in the semi-final of the MTN8 by Orlando Pirates by an aggregate score of 3-0 last season.
This season they surely want to go a step further to keep their chances of winning their fifth MTN8 trophy.
The 2021 champions will face some familiar faces in coach Steve Komphela and Andile Jali in the team of Swallows.
Amaswaiswai are participating in the Wafa Wafa tournament for the second time since returning to the elite league.
Having not started the DStv Premiership season well after a defeat and a draw they surely want to turn things around in this clash against Downs.
Komphela and Jali will definitely be helpful in the club as they have the intel after leaving Chloorkop just two months ago. The experience in the Swallows team might also be helpful after they added the likes of Gabadinho Mhango, Dumisani Zuma and Tshegofatso Mabasa.
In the last five games Sundowns have won three and drawn two.
