Mamelodi Sundowns and Richards Bay FC have announced their starting line-ups for this evening’s Nedbank Cup round of 32 encounter at Loftus Versfeld Stadium.
One year and three days ago Masandawana knocked the Natal Rich Boyz out of the Nedbank Cup last 32 at Umhlathuzi Sports Complex.
Masandawana, who are the Nedbank Cup defending champions, are coming to this game as the favourites after their impressive 15-match winning run in the league.
They have also beaten Richards Bay in both previous meetings, with the visitors yet to score against the Brazilians.
Rulani Mokwena will have to eliminate the boys from KwaZulu-Natal on their road to defending the trophy, but they all have to do that without the Chilean star midfielder Marcelo Allende and Bafana Bafana right-back Khuliso Mudau, who are both suspended.
Meanwhile, Vasili Manousakis’ side are coming to this game as underdogs and knowing very well they’ve got nothing lose.
They will aim to cause an upset by knocking out the defending champions and collect their first win over Sundowns.
