Stellenbosch & Pirates Starting XIs Announced

Stellenbosch FC and Orlando Pirates have announced their starting line-ups for tonight’s DStv Premiership clash at Danie Craven Stadium.

After a top-eight finish and a Nedbank Cup semi-final last season, Stellies will definitely look to hit the ground running in the new campaign.

But the Cape Winelands side are starting their journey against last season’s double winners, who are among the teams expected to challenge for the league this season.

Pirates come to the mother city knowing very well it is not an easy place to visit, as they have only won one of their last four visits to the Winelands, drawing two and losing one.

They finished last season with two trophies, this season they have a chance to end the 10-year league drought.

Stellies are starting the season without their talisman from last season, Junior Mendieta but they have added 10 new players this window so far.

Meanwhile, the Buccaneers have also been busy in the transfer market but have lost Terrence Dzvukamanja who scored on his debut for SuperSport United this afternoon.
