Mamelodi Sundowns head coach Rulani Mokwena has revealed the specific boxes his troops ticked in their pre-season tour to the Netherlands.
Sundowns have been hard at work as they prepare for the highly-anticipated 2023/24 DStv Premiership campaign.
The Tshwane giants proved their dominance in the PSL after clinching their sixth successive league title last season.
Meanwhile, Sundowns moved swiftly to beef up their squad for the new season and make a real push for the CAF Champions League. They have signed Junior Mendieta, Lesiba Nku, Lucas Ribeiro Costa and Thapelo Maseko ahead of the new campaign.
In the past few campaigns in the Champions League, Sundowns have been falling short in the knockout stages of the competition.
The Brazilians were eliminated from the semi-finals of the Champions League by Wydad Casablanca last campaign.
With Masandawana gearing up for the kickoff of the new season, Mokwena has outlined important take-outs from the tour in the Netherlands.

“Social integration and be exposed to different playing styles ticked, social integration of new players ticked, no injuries from the group we tick. Good physical and tactical preparation we also tick.
“So we can only thank the club and the management of this football club. We thank our chairman[Tlhopie Motsepe] for allowing us to go into this type of space.
“We experienced a very good pre-season that gave us good facilities, good oppositions. It’s a good platform to prepare for what is going to be a difficult season.”
Sundowns will kick off their season with a clash against Sekhukhune United. The game will be staged on 04 August at Peter Mokaba Stadium.
