Ronaldo’s New Contract Has Special Exit Clause – Report

Cristiano Ronaldo’s new mega contract with Al Nassr is understood to include a special exit clause to return to UEFA Champions League football next season.
The Portuguese striker will be unveiled by his new club on Tuesday evening, having put pen to paper on a two-and-a-half year deal.
Ronaldo is understood to earn €200 million per year once commercial agreements are also included.
The move to Saudi Arabia seemingly ends Ronaldo’s time at top level European football, but a new report by Marca states his deal includes a special exit clause, which would allow him to play Champions League football next season.
It is understood that if Newcastle United qualify for the UCL, Ronaldo could join the Premier League side on loan as they are owned by the Saudi Arabian Public Investment fund.
Ronaldo is currently holding several Champions League records and is also the leading all-time record goalscorer in the competition, with 140 goals – 11 more than his longstanding rival Lionel Messi.
To date, Ronaldo is also one of four players to have lifted five UEFA Champions League titles – the others being Karim Benzema, Luka Modric and Dani Carvajal.
Meanwhile, Newcastle currently sit in third place in the Premier League, four points ahead of fifth-placed Tottenham Hotspur.
