TS Galaxy coach Sead Ramovic says it warms his heart that fans are acknowledging his work to coach a big side in future, but he is experienced enough to be minding Twitter sphere’s suggestions.

Social media was up in flames when Ramovic’s side beat Kaizer Chiefs last weekend at Mbombela Stadium, with fans saying he deserves to join a big club from Soweto, indicating the same Amakhosi he beat.

Ramovic was asked, if he would jump on the opportunity in future to coach a big club, but said only time will tell and he is focused on his Galaxy project at the moment, with his target to finish in the top-eight this season.

“I’m in the business of football for 25 years now since I was a player and now as the coach. It has been seven or eight years being a coach, it means I know the business,” said Ramovic, who holds the UEFA Pro license, the highest qualification in world football.

“Every day we have to improve and be better and this is why I’m here, present. What is in the past, I can’t change. I can only analyse and see what we should improve. I stopped making plans because every time I make plans, something changes.

“So I want to live in the present. I enjoy being the head coach of this beautiful club, I enjoy working with all the guys, the young players that we have.

“I want this team to reach the top eight spot, because last season we missed it due to our own mistakes because we didn’t convert our chances.

“What I can promise is that we will work hard to make it better and reach our top eight spot.”

While Ramovic diverted his answer, when pressed if he would like to coach a big club in South Africa, he said to hear people talk nice about him was encouraging.

“I would like to say it is nice when people recognise your hard work,” he added.

Ramovic, having seen the highs of beating Chiefs last weekend, his club were brought back down to earth, as they suffered their first loss of the season to Royal AM at Harry Gwala Stadium on Sunday, with Ramovic lamenting their final product.

“If the effort was bad, if the opponent was much better [I would say we deserve to lose], but it was the opposite,” he said.

“We were the better team – lots of effort, great attitude from my players. We just didn’t finish and that is the only thing that I can say from our side.

“So we have to stick together and be better in the next game.”

As Galaxy will remain in Durban, their next game will be against AmaZulu at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Wednesday (19:30).
