Pitso’s Al Ahli Return To Winning Ways

Pitso Mosimane’s Al Ahli Saudi have started the new year with a win, returning to winnings ways after two successive draws.

Al Ahli beat bottom-placed Al Shoulla 2-0 on Wednesday afternoon to collect the fourth win since Mosimane took over.

They remain in sixth place with 24 points, while having two games in hand, sitting just two points behind the promotion spots.

It was another tight game for Mosimane and his man, but a first-half strike by Haitham Asiri and second-half goal by Murad Khodari secured the three points.

Overall, Mosimane has won four and drawn four of his eight matches in charge.

Al Ahli will return to action in six days when they will face 13h-placed Al-Qadisiyah.
