Pirates Ease Past Chippa Into 2nd Place

Orlando Pirates have made easy work of Chippa United on Saturday and moved back into second place on the log following a 2-0 win in Gqeberha.
The Buccaneers came into the game on the back four successive wins and made it four thanks to taking control of the match early in the first half.
Kabelo Dlamini opened the scoring in the 20th minutes, converting from inside the five-yard box after a fine cross by Monnapule Saleng.
Just a minute later, Dlamini almost completed a brace but his shot from outside the box flew past the post.
Thembinkosi Lorch made it 2-0 after 37th minute, calmly slotting home after being set up by Paseka Mako.
Chippa coach Kurt Lentjies responded with two changes at half-time, with Ronaldo Maarman and Azola Ntsabo replacing Ronald Pfumbidzai and Janovane September.
Chippa almost pulled one back in the 55th minute but a superb save by Sipho Chaine denied Etiosa Ighadaro a goal via a powerful header.
In the end, the home side hardly trouble the Buccaneers, who saw out the game and take the three points back to Soweto.
The win sees Pirates climb back into second place, level on 43 points with SuperSport United but ahead on goal difference.
