Mamelodi Sundowns have taken their prize money for the 2021/22 to a new record after also being confirmed as the Q-innovation Quarter four winners.

Masandawana beat Stellenbosch FC to the Q4 title, with both collecting 14 points but the DStv Premiership having the better goal difference, despite losing 3-0 to Stellies this quarter.

Downs also won the Q-innovation quarter one and two, with each earning them R1.5 million, meaning overall they have pocketed R4.5 million this campaign.

This comes in addition to the prize money for lifting the treble, after Downs also secured the DStv Premiership trophy, the MTN8 trophy and the Nedbank Cup trophy.

The Nedbank Cup earned them R7 million, while the MTN8 trophy flushed in R8 million and a further R15 million came from the DStv Premiership title.

Finally, reaching the quarter-finals of the CAF Champions League also earned them R10 million, meaning they pocketed a whopping R44.5 million.
