Defending Hollywoodbets Super League champions Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies have announced the signing of Banyana Banyana defender Lebogang Ramalepe.

Ramalepe had been without a club since leaving Belarusian side Dinamo Minsk last December and is believed to have signed a one-year deal at Chloorkop.

The 2022 WAFCON winning Ramalepe told this publication in December that there was bad treatment in the end at the club and she also wanted to challenge herself elsewhere.

The former Ma-Indies Ladies captain also missed out on the camp of the senior national team Banyana Banyana in Turkey as a result of inactivity and being club less at the time.

The 31-year-old has been training with the former African champions and brings vast experience from Europe. She won eight trophies with Minsk, which include three league titles, three Super Cups and the Belarus Cup in three seasons.

This publication has reliably learned that there is a high chance that Ramalepe will make her debut when Sundowns plays rookies University of Pretoria at Groenkloof stadium this afternoon.
