Kaizer Chiefs have officially announced the departure of Kgaogelo Sekgota, who is set to join Stellenbosch FC, as reported by iDiski Times.

Sekgota, 26, joined Amakhosi from Swallows in 2021 and made 48 appearances for the club.

However, the Glamour Boys opted to part ways with the speedy winger, announcing the news on Tuesday.

“Winger, Kgaogelo Sekgota has departed Kaizer Chiefs after spending two years with the Club,” the club stated.

“Sekgota arrived at Amakhosi from Swallows FC ahead of the 2021/22 season, and featured 48 times (14 starts + 34 subs) in the gold & black colours of the Glamour Boys.

“His new Club will make an announcement in due course after finalising all the paperwork pertaining to his registration.

“We thank KG for all his efforts and wish him well for the rest of his footballing career.”

Stellenbosch are yet to announce his arrival and he wasn’t at the club’s kit unveiling event, but iDiski Times understands his move to the Winelands is a “done deal”.
