Official: 2022 FIFA World Cup Groups Drawn

The eight groups for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar were drawn in Doha today.

The 32 nations involved in the 2022 World Cup, 29 of which are currently known, were drawn into eight groups of four. 

Two of the remaining three spots will be filled by the winners of the Intercontinental Play-offs on 13 or 14 June, with the final berth determined by Path A of the European qualifying play-offs, in which Wales will face off against either Scotland or Ukraine in the final. 

Hosts Qatar will kick off the tournament against Ecuador after being drawn in Group A alongside the South American side as well as AFCON champions Senegal and Netherlands.

Below are all eight groups:

Group A: Qatar, Ecuador, Senegal, Netherlands

Group B: England, Iran, USA, IC Play-off winner*

Group C: Argentina, , Mexico, Poland, Saudi Arabia

Group D: France, IC Play-off winner**, Tunisia, Denmark,

Group E: Spain, winner of Costa Rica/New Zealand, Germany, Japan

Group F: Belgium, Canada, Morocco, Croatia

Group G: Brazil, Serbia, Switzerland, Cameroon

Group H: Portugal, Ghana, Uruguay, South Korea

* Wales or winner of Ukraine vs Scotland

** Australia or winner of United Arab Emirates vs Peru
