When applying for a social grant, Sassa clients are requested to provide correct contact information; this comes after the new payment method was implemented to replace the post office payment method.
Beneficiaries will now be paid using their cell phone number, pin, and digits to collect their money at stores such as Shoprite, Boxer, and Pick and Pay. There will be no errors if you provide the correct contact information.
If your number is incorrect, you may be paid but the digits go to someone else or bounce back, in which case you must review your application and confirm your contact information.
The statement was issued to inform clients about errors that could result in not being paid; if you need to correct this error, you can go to the Sassa website and make changes, and your money will be paid to you.
As May is still pending, the money will be paid to the correct full person as payment will be made soon.
