South African striker Dino Ndlovu is set for another lucrative transfer to China after just six months in Turkey with Kocaelispor.
Ndlovu who turned 32 last month returned to Europe with the Turkish second-tier side after a prolific three-year spell with ZJ Football Club where he left as their all-time record scorer.
And after nine goals in 15 league games in Turkey with the newly-promoted side, Chángchūn Yàtài have secured his services in a deal worth close to R6-million.
Last month, iDiski Times revealed that K-League side Pohang Steelers had been quoted an R17-million transfer fee fromKocaelispor in a bid to ward off interest.
But with his contract set to expire at the end of the season, they’ve now agreed to allow him to leave before the end of the campaign.
This publication can confirm Ndlovu has agreed a one-year plus one option with 2007 top-flight champions despite initially being offered a two-year contract.
It’s understood Ndlovu requested the one year plus one terms due to the uncertainty of the long-term future around the current head coach.
The new league Chinese Super League campaign will kick off on 22 April and Ndlovu is set to join up with his new teammates before the end of pre-season.
