Morocco and Croatia have announced their starting XIs for today’s third place play-off at Khalifa International Stadium.
The Atlas Lions became the first ever African side to play for third place in FIFA World Cup history. The 1976 African Cup of Nations winners made history by becoming the first African side to reach semi-finals.
Morocco are in this stage of the tournament after suffering 2-0 defeat at the hands of defending champions France. They will be without their forward Walid Cheddira after he received a red card against Portugal.
Meanwhile, 2018 World Cup finalists Croatia are in this stage after they were hammered 3-0 by Argentina in the other semi-final. Zlatko Dalic’s side had a fantastic journey in the tournament, which climaxed in eliminating Brazil on penalties.
Both teams were in the same group and they faced each other in the opening game of Group F, when they played to a goalless draw.
Here is how they line up:
Morocco XI: Bono – Hakimi, Dari, El Yamiq, Attiat-Allah – Amrabat, El Khannouss – Ziyech, Sabiri, Boufal, En-Nesyri.
