Mokwena Reveals Zungu Setback – iDiski Times

Mamelodi Sundowns head coach Rulani Mokwena has revealed that the Bongani Zungu had a slight injury setback.
Zungu, 30, joined the Masandawana in August but has only played 17 minutes in the DStv Premiership so far.
Overall, he has featured just five times since moving to Sundowns with Mokwena stating he wasn’t happy with his fitness earlier in the season.
Zungu was one of the players that put in extra-shifts at Chloorkop during the FIFA World Cup break, with many expecting him to finally become a permanent feature in the line-up in the second half of the season.
However, the midfielder was absent from both Downs squads since the restart, with Mokwena now confirming he had a small injury setback.
“He’s got a slight setback now, with a small injury that’s going to pull him a little bit further behind,” Mokwena said after his side’s 2-0 win over Swallows.
“With a bit of complication in the pelvic area, the abdominal area, slash hernia, slash groin, it’s that type of space.
“Not a serious thing, just a slight setback and he should be ready to go very soon too.”
Sundowns, who have won their last eight league games in a row, are back in action on Friday when they will face third-placed Richards Bay.
