South African-born defender Mlungisi Mkhwanazi has returned to Europe after his short stint with Motsepe Foundation Championship side Baroka FC.
The 23-year-old footballer has joined the Polish club Pogon Swiebodzin this time around.
Swiebodzin competes in the Polish fifth tier, and Mkhwanazi is looking to get his career back on track at his new club.
‘Beast’, as he is affectionately known in football circles, signed for Baroka at the beginning of the campaign from Finnish side Ilves Kissat.
Mkhwanazi is technically gifted, robust, mobile, fearless, and boasts excellent pace and awareness. He has previously had stints with teams like IFK Mariehamn of Finland and All Stars in South Africa.
HOW LONG WAS MKHWAKHWINI EXPECTED TO STAY AT BAROKA?
He had penned a two-year deal with an option to renew another season with the Limpopo-based outfit.
However, in a turn of events, Mkhwanazi could not resist the opportunity to return to Europe when Swiebodzin came knocking.
Interestingly, the talented defender featured twice for Baroka and weighed in with two assists in the process. After the departure of the coach who signed him, Vincent Kobola, left the club, he struggled for game time.
Currently, Bakgaga sit 10th on the log standings with 26 points from 22 outings.
SWIEBODZIN’S LOG STANDINGS

The club’s next assignment will be against KP Piast Iłowa at home on Thursday, 23 March 2023.
The game will kick-off at 16:00 [SA standard time] at Stadion Olsir W Swiebodzin.
