Kaizer Chiefs super fan and iDiskiTV analyst Machaka was impressed with youngsters Mduduzi Shabalala and Samkelo Zwane, but insisted they mustn’t showboat at 0-0.
The duo feature for Amakhosi in the second half of Saturday’s Soweto Derby in the Carling Black Label cup Soweto derby, which Chiefs lost 6-5 on penalties.
Shabalala came on as a replacement for Nkosingiphile Ngcobo, while Zwane came on as a substitute for Phathutshedzo Nange in the semi-final against Orlando Pirates.
Speaking to Nkululeko Nkewu on iDiski TV, Machaka said the duo made a difference when they came in but need to learn to use their skills at the right time.

“I was happy to see the two youngsters Mduduzi Shabalala and Samkelo Zwane. They added spark in the second-half,” he said.
“The boys will get used to playing for the big club. There were clear, promising signs in the game.
“The only thing the young players need to understand is that you cannot do showboating while the game is still zero-zero.
“Otherwise I’m encouraged by the youngsters from what I saw in the game. It’s a pity that we were not able to progress into the finals.”
Machaka also insisted that his side were robbed of a legitimate goal, insisting the level of refereeing in South Africa needs to improve.
“Ashley Du Preez scored a beautiful, legitimate goal but the goal was ruled out,” he added.
“The officials need to improve their understanding of the offside rule. Kaizer Chiefs would have won the game but the referees made sure that we got to the lottery of the penalties.
“I’m unhappy about the decision. We were robbed in this game as Kaizer Chiefs.”
