The love of AKA’s life, Nelli Tembe passed away tragically on Sunday morning and her memorial service is going to take place on Thursday. The 22-year-old’s body has arrived in her hometown, Durban.

Nelli’s body left Cape Town and arrived in Durban, accompanied by AKA at the King Shaka International Airport according to reports.

The memorial service is going to be streamed live so that people can pay their respects. A funeral is expected to be held later this week but details are yet to be released by the Tembe and Forbes families.

AKA’s publicist, Phumza Nohashe told TshisaLIVE that the rapper is doing as well as he can be, given the circumstances taking place currently but he’s still shocked, trying to make sense of the situation.

AKA and Nelli got engaged in February and were ready to spend their lives together. The rapper even paid lobola to the Tembe family so that he could marry his girl. Unfortunately, she passed away before they could make it down the aisle.

Police are still investigating the cause of Nelli’s death after she allegedly fell down the 10th floor of a hotel in Cape Town.
