Lerato Kganyago And Bathu’s Theo Baloyi At War

Radio and TV personality Lerato Kganyano finds herself in a sour business fallout with a sneaker company, Bathu. Kganyago is suing and set to take legal actions against the famous sneaker brand. Bathu, which is owned by Theo Baloyi and Lerato Kganyago have reached an end to a business arrangement but not all parties involved are happy with the decision reached.

Kganyago who was named a ambassador by the sneaker brand for a period of 12 months, is reportedly demanding R315k remainder of the R600k from Bathu sneaker company. This comes after the brand abruptly terminated her contract and would not pay what is owed to her. Kganyago feels blindsided by the decision that the company resorted to without any prior communication to her.

Kganyago was an ambassador of Bathu sneakers along the likes of Somizi Mhlongo and Khanyi Mbau to name a few. Initially contract terms and conditions were that Kganyago must fulfil her duties as the brand ambassador by to attend 60% of the brand stores official openings across the country. According to Sunday World, the contract agreement reads,

“Ms Kganyago will be required to DJ in the store. Bathu Pty Ltd will arrange DJ equipment of her choosing. All travel arrangements will be scheduled as per her requirement and will be at Bathu Pty Ltd’s expense.”

As the news is mounting and the story developing, Lerato has taken to her Instagram to details what has rose between herself and Theo Baloyi, Bathu sneaker company owner. Although the Instagram story is cryptic but if you know you know. In her stories, she details how everything was never about the money but principle and respect.

Lerato continues in one of her stories to briefly speak about her receipts as she vouches for paper trail to never been lying. In an attempt to speculate that she signed the contracts which stipulated her duties and how much was she supposed to be paid. However, now the company have not delivered their end of the bargain.

It must be how she has been treated that she continues to write on her Instagram stories about feeling disrespect as a business woman. It does not look good between Lerato Kganyago and Bathu sneaker company.

Lerato Kganyago IG story

Lerato Kganyago was agreed to be paid R600 000 in total, provided she rendered all her required services as the brand ambassador. The company had since paid Kganyago on R285 000. The contract termination came after the business encountered financial troubles which led to the business cutting off on some of their expenses.

According to Sunday World, a letter from Bathu’s representative Mashudu Ndophu letter reads,
