Kobola – We Got A Hiding

A dissapointed Baroka assistant coach Vincent Kobola says Bakgakga got a hiding from Cape Town City on Sunday, who showed they were playing at a higher level.
City moved up to fourth after the 5-1 win at the Cape Town Stadium, while Baroka remain bottom of the DStv Premiership table.
Kobola said it was a game full of drama, with both teams receiving red cards, as well as penalties, and the former City player says his team will need to pick themselves up and get back on track.
“Ja, very frustrating night. I think we got a hiding,” Kobola told Baroka’s media department.
“It shows that Cape Town City is on a higher level. We played like not a team that is fighting relegation.
“Ja, it was disappointing, frustrating and you can see the drama, two red cards, three penalties, six goals, so it was a because of this, but we’re not going to give up now, we have to carry on fighting.
“We have seven games to go, again this is a final for us, all these seven games that are remaining are a final for us, so we need to collect points especially at home now, we are desperate for points. But ja, we’ll go back and work hard again.”
Kobola said there were warnings in the first half, and using the first half missed penalty as an example, he said his players need to learn to use their opportunities to change the complexion of a game.
“You could see even when the game started, they got a chance in the first two minutes and we went there and get a penalty, and which we missed and I think that penalty was gonna bring something positive to the team,” he continued.
“Also our players, they need to understand that you get that kind of an opportunity you have to bury that, you get that one in, then you talking about another thing.”
