Once upon a time, celebs and their partners were head over heels in love in Zalebville. Engagements and relationships announcements used to be a huge deal, but it seems recently that a number of them are breaking up, and it is heartbreaking to watch.
Actor and radio personality Khaya Dladla, and his partner Mercutio Buthelezi, have allegedly broken up. The couple was once was one of Mzansi’s favourite gay couples in celebville, and they were completely inseparable.
They used to serve major couple goals on social media with their matching outfits, and vacations. However, lately they have stopped interacting on social media, leading fans to speculate that they have thrown in the towel.
The pair has even deleted pictures of each other on their respective social media platforms. As if that wasn’t enough to cause the speculation that trouble is indeed brewing in paradise, they have also unfollowed each other on Instagram.
This has left fans wondering whether or not their relationship is over. It is also unclear what caused their relationship to hit rock bottom, but it seems they were not able to mend it- or perhaps they are just taking a break and will come back stronger.
The couple announced their engagement in 2020, and they have been together for a couple of years prior to their engagement.
Another couple that recently called it quits is Phelo Bala and Moshe Ndiki. The couple announced that they had gotten married in 2020 in a private wedding ceremony.
Their union was marred by accusations of abuse with Phelo saying Moshe had abused him. The couple then deleted pictures of each other on their social media platforms, but they rekindled their love.
Earlier this year they were rocked by breakup rumours after they stopped posting each other on social media. Fans were left curious about their status but Moshe decided to set the record straight.
He made their divorce public and said that he is not discouraged and will get married again.
In an interview with Isolezwe, the TV host confirmed that their marriage has come to an end. “As a person who was previously married, I will get married again because I love marriage and love. The problem is not in love or marriage, it’s with people,” he said.
This was after they celebrated their anniversary and where Moshe gushed over Phelo after two years of getting married. “Happy 2nd year wedding anniversary, love @moshendiki. Can’t believe we’ve made it this far…I think you don’t know how strong you are to handle someone like me until Moshe tells you so. I’m an extremist and at times a gentleman. Sometimes I’m laughing with you, other times I’m so wrong but you try your best to keep us going. I love you and I mean it! I pray that God keeps you around with me in time for you to see His glory in my life,” he captioned the post.”
