Kappa Issues Promise To Chiefs And Amakhosi Faithful

Kaizer Chiefs will be presented with the best kits they ever had, according to Kappa Executive Vice Chairman Lorenzo Boglione.

This was the promise made after Amakhosi ended their two-decade-long partnership with Nike to lock arms with the Italian brand again.

A five-year deal was struck as the official shirt sponsor after weeks of speculation surrounding who would be next in line.

“We want to create the bridge between sports and fashion and we think there’s no better team and no better place through this, than Africa, and South Africa – and for sure Chiefs is the best team to do this,” he said.

“It’s exactly what we do, it’s what we want to continue doing [providing lifestyle products], and [Chiefs] will have full support from the headquarters to build the best lifestyle and sports range for the Kaizer Chiefs fans.

“We try to be as real as possible for the heritage of our brand and the brand we work with, the football teams we work with, but always being extremely modern. You must know that Kappa has always been innovative in the jersey space.

“We were the first brand to wear skinny, tight, and elastic jerseys back in the year 2000, when we were sponsoring the Italian football team at the World Cup, it was a huge innovation, and every single brand followed from there.

“So we will continue innovating, innovating together, and make the best kits Chiefs ever had.”
