The football may be heading into the off-season, but there’s no rest for the news, and this week we have another chocker-block edition.

David Kappel caught up with Daniel Akpeyi and spoke to him about his exit from Kaizer Chiefs. The Nigerian International opens up about his time at Naturena, and what he learnt from Lee Baxter, and the competition in the goalkeeping department.

David also spoke to Mamelodi Sundowns’ Head of Academy Shawn Bishop, about learning from Jose Mourinho, while doing a prestigious course in Portugal.

Meanwhile, Velile Mnyandu sat down with SAFA Presidential candidate, Ria Ledwaba to discuss the upcoming elections and how she hopes to change the Football Association.

Velile also has the latest news on the CAF A and B License courses, which have been delayed in South Africa in recent times.

Lethabo Kganyago caught up with Banyana Banyana coach Desiree Ellis as she and the team prepare for next month’s CAF African Women’s Cup of Nations.

As Summerfield Dynamos go into this week’s ABC Motsepe national playoffs, we also have an interview Lethabo did with Clinton Larsen, the coach of the KwaZulu-Natal outfit. At the end of the week, two of the nine regional teams will be promoted to the GladAfrica Championship.

Lorenz Köhler brings us transfer news from Stellenbosch, where Steve Barker’s team are not wasting any time in replacing players who’ve recently left the club.

And while it was confirmed that Al Ahly and Pitso Mosimane have parted ways, we also have other transfer rumours from across the continent.

Michael Loftman is back in The Drawing Board and in part three of his Tactics For The Fanatics, the former Orlando Pirates MDC coach, explains the importance of set pieces.

Rob Delport casts an eye over the football media industry in general and asks whether journalism shouldn’t be held at a higher standard than it currently is.

We’ve also got our iDiski Times Team of the Season – voted for by our team of journalists. Let us know who you don’t agree with!

Last but not least, our pundit friends at iDiskiTV – Nkululeko Nkewu, Junior Khanye and Benedict Vilakazi – look back at Bafana Bafana’s defeat to Morocco. You don’t want to miss what they have to say!
