SuperSport United head coach Gavin Hunt says he tries to stay relevant and in touch with current trends despite not knowing much about social media.

Hunt was speaking to iDiski Times writer Lorenz Köhler in edition 87 of the newspaper, on various matters including being back in the capital city, why South African coaches aren’t rated and dealing with youngsters from different generations.

Hunt has four league titles to his name, three won with Matsatsantsa between 2008 and 2010. He sympathises with the youth of now, saying they are soft but he tries to stay relevant by meeting them at their level.

“So you have got to come down to the level or go up the level or whatever levels you need, to talk them,” he told iDiski Times.

“Why have I stayed relevant in the game? Because I don’t know social media k*k. I don’t know all the sh*t and phones.

“But I still try and stay relevant to what’s going on.

“And the players, the youth, are not the same, the youth are different today. They are softer. They are softer, they need what we had, but they are not going to have what we had”
