How Chiefs Could Line Up With New Signings

After Kaizer Chiefs made seven new signings already, here is how Molefi Ntseki’s new-look starting XI could look like.

On Saturday, Chiefs announced the signing of Potsane, who became the club’s seventh new signing after joining the club from Royal AM.

He follows the likes of Thatayaone Ditlhokwe, Spiwe Given Msimango, Mduduzi Mdantsane, Edson Daniel Castillo Garcia, Pule Mmodi and Ranga Piniel Chivaviro.

With so many new arrivals at Naturena, many fans are left wondering which starting XI Ntseki will select.

So iDiski Times had a look at what could be in the club’s strongest XI going into 2023/24.

In goal, Brandon Petersen seems to have made the Nr.1 spot his own, while Msimango and Ditlhokwe are expected to be the new centre-back pairing, potentially joined by Reeve Frosler and Edmilson Dove in the back-four.

In midfield, new South American signing Edson Castillo is expected to move into the Nr.6 role, with Yusuf Maart next to him and Mdu Mdantsane ahead of them.

On the wings, Keagan Dolly and Ashley Du Preez could flank Ranga Chivaviro, who poised the be the club’s new leading marksman after impressing in 2022/23.

The new signings have not just added quality but also much needed quantity with Ntseki currently being able to choose from 34 first-team players.

Subs: Bvuma, Kwinika, Hlanti, Solomons, Shabalala, Mmodi, Sekgota, Potsane, Saile.

Reserves: Khune, Molefe, Nj. Ngcobo, Mccarthy, Mashiane, Mokoena, Zwane, Matlou, Sithebe, Mahlatsi, Nk. Ngcobo, Sifama, Duba, Bimneyimana.
