Sekhukhune United defender Edwin Gyimah has explained how French star Paul Pogba inspired his own goal celebrations.
The former Orlando Pirates and Bidvest Wits defender was a key player in Sekhukhune’s debut season in the top flight, missing just one league game all season.
Speaking in an interview with LethaboKganyago in the latest edition of iDiskiTimes, Gyimah said Pogba is his favourite footballer, and his powerful celebrations inspire him.
“My favourite footballer in Europe is Paul Pogba,” Gyimah told iDiskiTimes.
“The celebrations that he does are like power. Every time when we are playing I try to shout, I try to lift the energies of the players, you know sometimes players feed off each other’s energy.
“So I try as much as possible to put that power, that kind of energy in them. With the celebration it is happy that we got it, you know when you have wanted something very bad.”
