South African singer and songwriter, Boohle hosted a listening session for her Isilomo album, but it got ruined by gunshots and hijacking.
The event was held at Sips Cigar Lounge in Melville, Johannesburg, but a car parked outside the venue got stolen.
According to Zimoja, witnesses detailed all that occurred that night.
“It all happened fast.” “It was very quick,” says Thabang May. “It was at the end of the night, Boohle had performed, and all proceedings were done. We were standing by the window when a gunshot went off and the car was gone followed by another car,” he says. “Everyone in the venue, ducked down to the floor because you could hear the gunshot was near. But I didn’t see who fired it. Luckily nobody was hurt.”
Actor Khaya Dladla who was at the event confirmed that nobody was hurt.
“I don’t really want to comment much on it. But a car was stolen, and I saw the commotion only after when I went outside. I don’t think anyone was hurt because we carried on with the night.”
However, Boohle took to social media, to appreciate people who made the event a success.
” big thanks to everyone who pulled through for #ISILOMO listening session,I appreciate each and everyone of you. I Love yoooooouuuuu!!!!!!”
